Small and Intimate Wedding in Virginia
Arguably the one good thing that came out of COVID was small and intimate weddings. Don't get me wrong, I love a big wedding as much as the next person! However, there's something so beautiful about spending your day with your closest friends and family. I love the conversations, slow pace, and the overwhelming joy that radiates in them!
Liz + Kyle's small and intimate Smithfield, Virginia wedding made my heart burst. The love they have for one another is unmatched, and I honestly don't think I've ever seen a wedding couple so focused on just having fun! The simplicity of their wedding allowed them to shine, and it's certainly not hard for them to. I ran to the store the morning of their wedding to find clear umbrellas as the forecast showed rain all day. Thankfully, though, the rain held out and we were able to do all outdoor portraits! Because they had already been legally married, they had their close friends be the 'officiants' and it was so cute! There were lots of laughs and happy tears included in their vows, which they wrote themselves.
After the ceremony, we had fun taking their portraits out in a field behind the housing community their wedding was held at. The overcast and moody skies made for some great bridal portraits, which you'll see below! They then enjoyed the rest of the evening dancing the night away with their friends and family. They also had tacos and let me tell you, those tacos were GOOD.
I am so blessed to be a part of such special moments. My role as wedding photographer is so fulfilled seeing people marry their best friends. I hope you enjoy this sweet snippet of Liz + Kyle's small wedding.
